Panoramic view of GABP featuring the iconic smokestacks, the new 2015 ASG logo and a passing Queen City riverboat
On Wednesday, August 6, 2014, the Cincinnati Reds unveiled the logo for the 2015 MLB All Star Game to be held at Great American Ball Park (GABP). I have to say, I’m impressed. As you can see from the above picture, the logo fits seamlessly into right field panorama. It looks so good, I can’t even remember what used to be in that spot.
By topping off the crossed-bat “C” emblem with the iconic Mr. Redlegs moustache and cap, the 2015 All Star Game logo hearkens to the early days of baseball, when the Reds still played at Crosley Field. Yet it feels modern – timeless even – in comparison to previous Reds All Star Game logos. It practically jumps off the screen.

The Reds held a nice unveiling ceremony before the Ohio Cup game against the Cleveland Indians, and the logo, along with the 8-3 beating our Redlegs administered, showcased that Cincinnati is indeed the class of Ohio.

Well done, Cincinnati Reds, well done.
